The Two Towns

There were two towns, separated by a huge wall, and the townspeople of both towns were the thickest of enemies.

It's funny because every Sunday, when the townspeople go to church and pray, they listen and agree with the good morals such as being a good neighbour and all, but once they exit the church, they show such spite and hatred against their neighbours.

This story tells us to "Practice what you preach" and to always be a good neighbour and friend to all!

Because, "Good neighbours! Everybody needs good neighbours!"

The Broken Bottle

There was a good man who ran a pharmacy, but he never believed in God.

Even though he never believed, he never was dishonest or evil in any form.

.So, one normal day at his job, a little girl walked in his shop and asked for medicines for her ailing mother and she possessed no money, since they were poor, but the man kindly gave a bottle of medicine to the little girl free of cost.

The little girl ran back home with the bottle happily, and after a short amount of time, the man realised that he had given that girl a bottle of poison by mistake and started weeping uncontrollably.

He thought it was only a matter of time before the girl returns sobbing, and she did.

But, she informed the shop-owner that while she was running home, she fell down and that the bottle is broken. She apologised profusely with pitiful tears running down her face.

The man was so relieved that he just exclaimed "Oh My God!", and thus he started believing in God....

Famous Five Series by Enid Blyton REVIEW (Book Review)

                                            Five On A Treasure Island

The very adventure of the Five:
Julian, Dick and Anne visit their uncle and aunt and their cousin and fourth member, George or Georgina; for the hols.
But, she hates being called that and prefers being a boy.
And the final member is their cute and loyal dog named Timothy; who George adores.
They find lost gold in their own island called Kirrin Island and stop thieves from taking it before them.
Using the newly found gold, Uncle Quentin (a grumpy scientist) could make George go the same school as Anne, which allows dogs too!

                                             Five Go Adventuring Again

The Five return to Kirrin for the holidays as Julian, Dick and Anne's mom is down with scarlet fever and their parents are stuck at home.
Since they missed some lessons from school, their uncle hires a tutor named Mr Roland to teach them.
Mr Roland doesn't like dogs so George and Tim don't like him either.
They go to Kirrin Farmhouse, which George's parents own but it's now an inn owned by a nice old couple.
They find a secret passage connecting the farmhouse to Kirrin Cottage and they are 2 artists staying in the inn.
They find out that Mr Roland is working with the two artists and they are trying to steal Uncle Quentin's work papers; as he is working on a secret formula.

                                                  Five  Run Away Together

The Five go to Kirrin for the holidays again!
But, this time Aunt Fanny is sick and Uncle Quentin takes her to the hospital.
Their cook, Joanna has taken leave to care for her mother, so George's parents hire Mrs Stick to look after them.
Rude Mrs Stick stays with them along with her naughty son, her husband, Mr Stick and their family dog, Tinker(whom The Five call Stinker)
They can't bear to stay in the cottage as Mrs Stick threatens and attempts to poison Timmy.
So, The Five get enough supplies and leave to Kirrin Island secretly and live in a nice cave.
But, They think smugglers are on the island as they find a locked safe in the shipwreck.
They find out there are no smugglers and The Sticks are kidnappers who kidnapped a little girl,
whom The Five rescued and caught The Sticks by putting their son in the same place where the girl was, to get them caught by the cops.

                                                        Five Go To Smuggler's Top

The Five return to Kirrin AGAIN!
But this time a gale smashes the top of the cottage and until the house is repaired, they will stay with their friend Sooty's mansion called Smuggler's Top, near the marshes.
The mansion is owned by Sooty's stepfather and grumpy scientist, Mr Lenoir, Sooty's actual mom; Mrs Lenoir, Sooty or Pierre Lenoir and his little sister, Marybelle.
They have a deaf and grumpy butler, Block and a sweet and innocent housekeeper, Sarah.
The Five learn from Sooty about the secret tunnels used by smugglers in the past, and that Mr Lenoir doesn't permit dogs.
(So they hide Timmy in one passage and feed him and exercise outside, pretending he's a street dog from the town of Smuggler's Top, Block hates Timmy and tried to stone him, thinking he was a street dog)
They catch an actual smuggler called Mr Barling and Block, who kidnapped Uncle Quentin when he visited the Lenoirs.
And Mr Barling does not want the swampy bog to be drained, as his smuggling business will end.

                                                Five Go In A Caravan

For the first time, The Five spend their holiday at Julian, Dick, and Anne's home.
They see a circus convoy of caravans pass by and meet a circus boy, Nobby. with his two dogs
Barker and Growler.
They like him as he was humble, friendly and to George's opinion, likes dogs.
Nobby's uncle is a gruff man called Tiger Dan and he abuses Nobby.
They arrange to go off to Lake Merran, where the circus is camping, in caravans.
They reach there and explore the camp and find a cute and naughty chimp named Pongo,
Dan's friend, Lou the acrobat; who's also rude and gruff.
An elephant named Old Lady.
They enjoy near Lake Merran but Dan and Lou chases them off.
So the Five climb the hills above the lake and camps there.
They meet a very nice farmer and his wife, Mrs Mackie, who supplies food to them.
They find out about caves in the hill made by water running through them and that Dan and Lou are thieves and store their loot there.
They trap them in the cave, just in time for Dick to bring the Police to catch them.
Nobby leaves the circus and works for the Mackies and the Five return home.

                                       Five In Kirrin Island Again

The Five visits Kirrin for the last time.
They see that their uncle is working in Kirrin Island and has built a tower for his experiments on a alternative to coal.
They meet new neighbours, living near the coast guard's cottage.
Martin, a young artist who helps the Coast Guard make toys; and his guardian, Mr Curton.
Mr Curton is rude to Martin and does not want him to pursue Art.
Uncle Quentin takes Timmy to protect him from Mr Curton and his gang, who wants to blow up the island and stop the discovery.
The Five finds a secret way to the island from the mainland and nabs the gang with the police.
Martin was great help to them so, Uncle Quentin enrolls him to an art school, as a act of gratitude.

And their adventures end here.....
For Now.

This is an absolutely long book and is a classic novel for young teens.

Absolutely good book for those who want an alternative for Sherlock Holmes.
The type of book this is Mystery and full of twists and turns.
Agatha Christie is the best mystery writer with two popular fictional characters named Mrs Marple and Hercule Poirot.

Sirsi Trip (From my new school called Abheek)

This trip is about a recent school trip to Uttara Kannada.

DETAILS OF TRIP BEFORE YOU READ THIS...

Left for the camping trip by train with friends; Avyay, Meher, Aadhi, Sriram, Rajdeep and Joey.
Educators : Vishnu sir and Indira ma'am.

                                               DAY 1  (MONDAY 16 DECEMBER 2019)

Arrived at Thalaguppa railway station. Got into a tourist van and reached and unpacked at the campsite called Laughing Elephants. We trekked at Devarakadu forest with a local guide and learned about the various endemic species there. The river there is fit for drinking and the soil is good for your skin. We had lunch and lemon juice from a nearby temple in the village and thanked them in Kannada ( Say dhanyavadugalu as thanks.) We travelled by van to an arts college, where our Kalari
(martial arts) instructors studied in. We found a cute puppy, we named Rafael/Button (Sriram was scared of it, as he's a health nut.) Next, we visited a cotton cloth weaving and dying factory, made by a man named Prasanna, who made this to give jobs to the poor and encourage traditional cloth manufacturing the natural way. We learnt the process. Next, we picked up our trekking guide, Ganapathy from his house. We sang songs on the way back (mainly Old Town Road.) We had a campfire session and listened funny stories from Vishnu sir. (Also, I forgot to mention, there are two dogs there named Raju and Karabi. The caretaker's name is Sachin.)

                                     DAY 2 (TUESDAY 17 DECEMBER 2019)

We went for a long trek with our trekking guide to the summit of a mountain, it was a breathtaking view 😮.  While we were walking back, we found a golden grass plain, I named it Golden Retriever Valley. We found an old holy spot called Bhima's Footprint on the way. We swung on a tree on the way too. Now this is the hard part, going down the hill in a forested path down, you can easily cramp your foot( It happened to me, I'm ok now.) We finally got to the main road and walked to a house, where those nice people refilled our bottles and we played with two puppies there. One was a Labrador, other was a Indian stray breed. We walked back to camp, had lunch and after some time,
went for swimming in the nearby lake. We swam in the lake with life jackets and for people who don't know swimming, Ganapathy will instruct you. We swam to the nearby island and spotted a sleeping viper and we swam away. We swam to another island, where we spotted a kingfisher. We also played Tag in the river. Joey is sick and he will leave tomorrow. Before dinner and sleeping, we sat by the fire.

                                         DAY 3 (WEDNESDAY 18 DECEMBER 2019)

We pack up and leave for the Sirsi campsite. We drop off Joey to his brother, who has come to pick him up. We visited an old temple in Banvasi and studied it's architecture. We visited Jog Falls and learnt about it. We even saw a hydro-electric Plant and discussed about it and it's uses and left. We reached the Sirsi camp and unpacked. We played Tag and found two dogs there called CookieKumar and Max. We watched a Yakshagana play(Yakshagana is a mix of dance-song and drama.) We watched a documentary by Vishnu sir's friend about the nearby river, Aghanashini. Aghanashini is a river that existed when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. There are many prehistoric forests, fruits, existing here. It has a lot of tribes inside the land near the forests. It's protected by the holy people there and once in a while, they have a community lunch in the forest. It is famous for rainbows shown on the waterfalls at night and day. We slept at single bed dormitories there. with a pail as your bath bucket. The food is vegetarian and yummy. This is run by Firoze and Manu, the caretakers.

                                          DAY 4 (THURSDAY 19 DECEMBER 2019)

We went to a beekeepers place and learnt that pollen from different plants =  different honey flavour.
Rock bees produce more yield of honey but are aggressive and are big and found on cliff faces. We visited Aghanashini river and was allowed to swim in a particular area of water. We visited Unnchali Falls and you have to walk through a forest path and go down stairs to each viewpoint. We travelled to a place where we trekked up the mountain and watched the sunset.

                                     DAY 5 (FRIDAY 20 DECEMBER 2019)
We found a cat at the camp, Aadhi named it Chummie. We visited Yaana, a rock formation made by the fissures called the Deccan trap and a huge natural cave. It was situated in a temple town and the only way in is remove your footwear and enter the temple route. We swam in Vibhuti Falls and there are fishes there which remove your dead skin. We reached Gokarna, a coastal town. We had lunch in a bus stand. We walked to a salt factory and learnt their process of making natural salt, which is brown. We visited Gokarna beach and Om Beach and had fun! We sang and listened to music on the way back. We had snacks on the way back. I was too full for dinner and changed clothes and slept.

                           DAY 6 (SATURDAY 21 DECEMBER 2019)
I woke up early and packed my bags and got ready. I listened to true scary story from Sriram about two guys driving on a road and finding a ghost.(I don't trust it, as it's forwarded from someone in WhatsApp) I had tea and sat down, talked with everyone. I learnt carving on a Plaster of Paris and got hurt during the finishing touches, Vishnu sir helped me get better. We left the camp and learnt about  rock carving and two rocks used mainly, Black basalt and granite. We visited this NGO called Chetana, that gives jobs to the disabled. We bought some items they made of banana fibre. We helped them make paper bags, danced with them and gave them snacks. We left for the railway station and on the way, had ice cream. We reached the railway station and had dinner outside. We gave chocolates to Meher and Sriram as birthday gifts. We got on the train and listened to music provided by Raj, Indira ma'am played a prank on me, we talked for some time and slept. We woke up on the crack of dawn and reached Bangalore. We said our goodbyes and thanks and went home.

My vacation ...

It started on Saturday , 26th of January , My family was bored at the weekend  and planned a surprise trip to Bandipur forest , Karnataka .   We booked a lovely nature resort called  The Windflower ,  online at this website called makemytrip.com.  We got in our car and set off for our holiday adventure .  We had breakfast on the way as we woke up a bit early for our trip .  We reached the hotel at 1pm .
Our room was : Room no : 6 .  It was very comfy and beautiful  room to stay .   We had lunch a little  while later after taking rest .  We had food in the Restaurant there , where there was a buffet of yummy and scrumptious  food .  After some time , we changed into swim wear and had fun swimming in the pool .  The  pool was called an infinity pool because of it's size .   We changed into our normal clothes after swimming ,  and went for a walk to a tribal village . Our guide was a Malayalee  like us . His name was Rajesh .  We walked with another family , who doesn't  speak Malayalam  but Hindi with us . They brought two girls with them . The younger one was so funny .
The tribal village is not actually a tribal village we expected .  They were a modern tribal village  as
it looked like they were built small houses and water tankers like an  entire colony . Rajesh told us that the politicians are supplying  money and housing , just for their votes .  And for education ,
their children in the village, even though they fail, they still get good jobs and graduate well .
Some people use money for unnecessary  needs and destroyed their forest area , given to them by their forefathers .  There was a fruit which they use as an instrument , as it makes a good sound .
You can take it for yourself if you want . They have a community centre for the village , for discussions and whatnot . They farm in the lands given to them by the government , and they get the materials you need for farming from the government all for votes .  We entered a small forest  area in which we found : a place where tigers  come to give birth and a Dirty Water Treatment Plant , and a shortcut back to the resort .  { NOTE: there is free wifi at your room and there is a spa and indoor games room .  }Early morning the next day, We went for the jungle safari. We started in a small car to the Safari bus stop  and got in the bus with other either from the resort or the locals who opted for it .
We have seen elephants, leopards, peacocks, deer , etc. We have even spotted some professional  photographers in a van taking photos too.  It took a lot of time but it was exciting.  After we came back to the bus stop, we got in the small vehicle and went back to the resort.  We took a bath , got into some fresh clothes and set off for breakfast. { Try the kababs, milkshakes, donuts, etc} After that, we left for home, and reached there in the evening.  Just after some time, my friends Sid and Vatsi { short for Srivathsan} came and we played a bit badminton and talked about Pokemon for a bit
[yeah, we used to play Pokemon trading cards. }

Anyway, that's the end of another adventure. I'll see you guys later.

Issue of bad roads in India

When you have gone out in any place in India , Some roads are very bad and destroyed and it takes so much time on fixing it , like the politicians only fix it when a huge number or foreigners protest to
get them to do something right .  The Kerala government is at least paying money to make good roads and for the safety of many ordinary citizens .  There are other state governments too , try to fix this issue .    Potholes are extremely dangerous and can cause many accidents and make tourists from other countries feel very uncomfortable during any India tours .  There are even small children  who fall down because of the potholes and get seriously injured or killed .  Sometimes , when you are fed up of politicians not listening , you can also lend a helping hand to people who do it themselves , like NGOS or small groups by the ordinary people .
And, I am telling you , do this and prevent this issue from even coming back to make us suffer , because each small things creates a better future for India .

PLS LIKE, FOLLOW AND SHARE TO AS MANY PEOPLE YOU KNOW TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT FIXING THIS UNPRECEDENTED ISSUE .

The King and the wise Thief .

Once upon a time, In a city called  Banu Pura  , which the city's needs were not looked after .

This was because  the King was no properly educated , when he was a child .     So , his ministers

sent a  very holy Guru to come and teach him .   While the King was getting taught by the Guru

in the Royal Garden , a thief climbed over the wall and climbed up the Royal mango tree and

was about to steal a ripe mango , when he just looked at the King studying .   He saw that the

King was  sitting on  a golden throne ,while the Guru sat on the floor and taught him .   ' What a

disrespect  to the Guru . No wonder this kingdom is not flourishing . ' thought the Thief .

' Your Majesty !  It is always a good thing when you respect an elder person .  Since , God

loves good children who obey their elders . So , why don't you let the Guru sit on your throne

so that at the end of the day , He might give you his " ashirvada "  ( blessings ) . '  protested

the Thief .      ' Alright ! You have proven  your point , O ' wise thief .  I will let the Guru

sit on my private throne and you , who have opened my eyes to this folly I  made ,  you  will be rewarded

well .  said the King .  And the King gave the private throne for the Guru to sit on .

' Bless you your majesty ! Bless You ! '   said the Guru .    The King finally  studied so hard

that he  solved all his citizen"s problems  and became a very learned and wise King .   While ,  The thief is no longer a thief .  He became a very rich man due to the reward and got a job as the King's minister .

ജേക്കബ്   സർ    EP 2 :  THE UMBRELLA .

One day ,  Jacob sir reached the school fast to teach the students .

He entered the class and carrying his umbrella ,  he put the umbrella  in his seat and

stood in a corner , where the umbrella should be kept .       The students were laughing and some

even thinking " Is this sir gone mad "  . Then , a student spoke ' Sir,  the umbrella in the corner , not

you '.   ' Aiyo! I  forgot .   I am so sorry children .  Let's move on to studies now and don't tell

anyone about this incident. My reputation will be ruined if you tell anyone .'  said Jacob  sir .

Some students never told anyone but , others told their parents and their parents told everyone

and that's how  this created ,  all because of some talkative  kids , who did not keep their promise .

The monkey learns a lesson .

ThE MONKEY LEARNS A LESSON .

Once upon  a time there were two animals : a fox and a monkey .  They used to help each other  every

time , but  one day , the fox saw the monkey standing near a farm ' What are you doing my friend ? '

said the fox .  ' I bought this entire farm from the farmer for just some 5 coins . You look hungry ,

would you like to eat some chickens from my farm .' lied the monkey .   ' You have read my mind ,

my friend . I would love to have some yummy chickens .' said the fox .  The fox leaped into the farm

and did not notice that the farmer still owned it , even though the monkey lied that  he bought it .

So , when the fox picked up a fat chicken , the farmer noticed and beat him up and kicked him out

of his farm .   ' Ha Ha Ha , you really thought that  I , a mere monkey would  have human money

to buy a farm ! ' laughed the cruel monkey , who went back home .   ' Oh , you think that's funny eh ?

well , lets see how much you will laugh after I trick you , you traitor . '  muttered the fox .

The next morning , the monkey woke up at his home and saw the fox waiting near a honey comb .

They went to see what was the problem .   ' Ah , you're here .  Would you like some honey ? ' said the

fox  .     ' But wouldn't  the bees sting me ? ' said the monkey . ' Hey , no need to worry my friend. I

heard they had gone away for vacation some where , so this your opportunity. ' said the fox .

' Are you sure ? ' said the monkey .  ' Of course, don't you trust me ? '  said the fox .

'Alright! Thanks a lot ! ' said the monkey. ' Hey , don't mention it . '  said the fox and he went away .

The monkey climbed up the tree and when he touched the honey comb and all the bees came out and

started stinging him .   ' HA HA HA !!! If you had not tricked  me , this will not have happened .  Wait

till I tell everyone '  said the fox .   ' NOOOOOOOOOOO'  screamed  the monkey , as the fox walked

away.

Bellandur Lake. problem .

        BELLANDUR LAKE PROBLEM .

And why we need to fix it .

There  is a lake in Bangalore  that used to be very beautiful and clean .  But, some of us polluted the

lake by : Throwing garbage into the lake ,  sewage waste  flooding into the lake and most of all ,

the smoke  from vehicles  and factories which throw out dangerous toxins into the lake , mixing it

with the clean water and other wastes , causing the lake  to turn into a frothy , chemically

white snow - like  flakes that shoots up in the air and fatally harms other people .

Once , there was a accident when  a man got hit by a chunk of froth in the face , that it totally

burned his face giving  him blindness because of the mixed up chemicals and waste , that poor guy

is suffering  from  blindness because  of this .   The BBMP and the government is trying hard to

stop this problem and not allow people to pollute or destroy lakes after many of these incidents

that were reported to the authorities .   So , everyone will you promise that you will follow the

rules to make ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ clean ? and do spread this message to everyone you know ,

let's make ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ clean again !

                THANK YOU

                   ಧನ್ಯವಾಧ ನಮ್ಮ  ಎಲರಿಕ್ಕು .

THE HILARIOUS STORIES OF JACOB SIR EP 1

THE HILARIOUS STORIES OF  ജേക്കബ്  സർ .

EPISODE 1 :  THE  EGG AND THE WATCH .

Once upon  a time    , there was a very intelligent  teacher called  Jacob Sir .

He was very clever, but maybe too clever .

He used to do some really stupid things and this is one of them .

One fine day , Jacob  sir  said to his students '  Everyone ,  today  we are going to
see how much time an egg can  boil '.     All the students took out their watches and started boiling

the egg .   Meanwhile , Jacob  sir   absent- mindedly put his watch in the pan and started staring at the

egg . Until , a student corrected him by saying '  Sir ! Why are you boiling your watch ? '

and Jacob sir noticed and started screaming  '  MY WATCH ! MY WATCH !! '  .

He switched off the gas and took out his watch , which was burning hot and was not working

properly now .     The students  had a good laugh hearing the story .
